- Pension Fund Administrators ( PFAs) have admitted 91,499 Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders into the Contributory Pension Scheme between January and April 2021.
According to the National Pension Commission (PenCom) contributors were 9,236,841 in January 2021 and as at April the total PFA registration has hit 9,328,340.
The pension funds as well has a turnaround from a decline position gaining over N50 billion between March and April.
PenCom also noted that N8.32trillion had been invested in federal government’s securities out of the total N12.39trillion. PenCom data also stated that investment in federal government instruments show that government bonds gulped N7.45trillion investment; treasury bills, N690.43bnillion; agency bond, N13.01billion; sukuk bonds, N79.31bllion and green bonds N79.81bllion while investment in state government securities was N117.21billion
