The Realnews 11th Anniversary Lecture will hold in Lagos today at Sheraton Hotel, lkeja.
According to the management of Realnews Magazine and Publications Limited, publishers of Realnews Magazine Online, the theme of this year’s lecture is : “Threats of Illict Funds Flow to the African Economy”.
Mr Edwin W. Harris Jr, the Director General of ECOWAS Inter-Governmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), Senegal, is expected to deliver the lecture. Edwin W. Harris Jr.
In a letter dated September 25, 2023, sent to Realnews, that he personally signed read “With the immense interest I have generated in illicit financial flow from Africa and its negative impact on the governance, economies and other social facets of the African people, I am pleased to confirm my participation and graciously accept your invitation.”
Other dignitaries expected at the event include; the Guest of Honour, Professor Umar Danbatta, Executive Vice-Chairman, Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) and the discussants; Mr Kayode Adebayo, Director of Proceeds of Crime Department, Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and Mr Felix Obiamalu, Associate Director of Legal and Sanctions, Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).
