Convener of Insurance Meet Tech (IMT 2.0), Odion Aleobua has said that enormous potential lies within the insurance industry.
Speaking at 2023 IMT, Aleobua stated that the industry has the capacity for exponential growth and it’s the collective responsibility of the operators to unlock this potential
“Insurance Meets Tech 2.0 is our platform to harness this Potential. It’s a gathering of visionaries, innovators and industry leaders committed to pushing the boundaries of what insurance can achieve in Nigeria”, he said..
This year’s theme “Unlocking policy and tech bottlenecks hindering disruptive insurance penetration” converged leading policymakers, regulators, and financial, tech, telecoms, and health insurance players who deliberated and leveraged the policy environment, tech innovations, and financial education, to tackle the challenges facing the insurance industry and the urgent need for insurance penetration in Nigeria.
The event hosted C-suite stakeholders from Microsoft, Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA), Leadway Assurance, Leadway Health, AXA Mansard, Casava, aYo Nigeria, Old Mutual West Africa, Gerocare, FastClaim, Awabah, ETAP Insure, Octamile Inc, Paddy Cover, Hallmark HMO, Insurpass amongst other critical stakeholders across insurance, insurtech, health, telecommunications sectors, and other allied sectors.
The 2-day conference held at Civic Centre, Lagos featured Executive dialogues, Panel sessions, Masterclasses, Exhibitions, and High-demo sessions from Microsoft, and one of Nigeria’s most promising products, FastClaim.
Also, there were presentation of IMT Awards to recognize actions and Innovations that inspire disruptive movements and accelerate growth in the sector.
