The President/Chairman of Council, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Edwin Igbiti, recently paid appreciation visit to the management of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc (CHI), for support of the Institute particularly during the Investiture of the 51st President of CIIN.
Igbiti who visited CHI with the top management staff of the Institute, said that this was part of his thank you visit for the support he received from the insurance industry towards his recent investiture which was very successful.
The new President used the opportunity to unveil his Three Pillar Development Agenda to the top insurance player. He highlighted the policy thrust of his tenure to cover Technology, Awareness, and Infrastructure Development.
He reiterated the three major pillars which he intends to focus on during his tenure as: one – reinforcement of digitization towards conducting e-examination and completion of the e-library, two: creation of insurance awareness by encouraging all insurance organizations and brokers to adopt a school, thereby shifting focus to the schools and bridging the gap between the old and the new and three: infrastructure development through upgrade of the secretariat.
The Executive Director, Operations of the Company, Mary Adeyanju on behalf of the Group Managing Director, Eddie Efekoha appreciated their visit and congratulated the President on his successful investiture as the 51st President of the Institute.
According to her, CHI has and will always support initiatives that will promote capacity building for the insurance industry. She assured the President of the Company’s continued support for his agenda for the Institute.
Adeyanju further said that the policy thrust of Technology Awareness and Infrastructure as stated by the President were steps in the right direction and emphasized on the need to have a formidable institute for the training and retraining of industry professionals as obtainable in other African countries.
CHI also commended the leadership of the CIIN DG, Mrs Abimbola Tiamiyu for the positive strides the Institute has made under her leadership.
